MotoGP GP Austria 2020 KTM Factory – Heavy retirement for Pol Espargarò in the Austrian Grand Prix, the fourth round of this 2020 MotoGP world championship.

Despite a good start and an encouraging first part of the race, the KTM standard-bearer was unable to keep the pace of Suzuki and KTM after the second restart, caused by the scary accident between Johann Zarco and Franco Morbidelli.

Subsequently, due to a contact with Miguel Oliveira, the Spaniard suffered a fall in turn 4, which prevented him from crossing the finish line.

Statements Pol Espargarò GP Austria MotoGP 2020

“In the first race we showed a good pace and I felt strong, so much so that I managed to take an advantage over Dovizioso. However, the red flag ruined everything for us, since we didn't have a new tire to use. I knew I only had three laps before the rear tire collapsed. However, there is very little to say about the accident. I went wide and so did Miguel. I opened the gas outside and we didn't see each other, ending up on the ground. I felt I had a fantastic bike, but it didn't go as I hoped. I hope next week."

Statements Brad Binder GP Austria MotoGP 2020

“Today went better than we expected. I'm happy with fourth place, to be honest, as it was quite difficult to make up positions at the beginning. The red flag was a shame, but it gave me the opportunity to return to the top positions. I didn't overtake too many riders after the restart, but there were a lot of crashes. On the one hand I'm quite satisfied, but then I was also quite lucky. Things went well and we are working for next week."
