“I made a good but not perfect start and in the first laps I lost a few positions. Lap after lap I started to feel better and better, I was losing something in acceleration but in everything else on the track I was very competitive. When it started raining I decided to make the riskiest choice, I honestly believe I am the rider on the grid who hates driving in the wet with slick tires more than anyone else. At one point it was really difficult, I arrived at the corner with both wheels locked and unable to slow down. It's a shame because in the dry not many riders were faster than me, I would have preferred a dry race but these are races. In any case, showing this pace on this track is a great source of pride for me."
