Yamaha returns to success with Vinales, terrible accident between Zarco and Marquez
MotoGP GP Phillip Island Race – The Australian Grand Prix held yesterday at Phillip Island gave us Yamaha's return to victory.
In fact, Maverick Vinales crossed the finish line first ahead of Andrea Iannone's Suzuki and Andrea Dovizioso's Ducati.
The race was also characterized by the accident that occurred on the fourth lap between Marc Marquez and Johann Zarco, with the latter hitting the Honda Spaniard at the end of the finishing straight.
Zarco crashed disastrously (at that point the speed was over 300 km/h, even if the speed had reduced given the imminence of the braking), fortunately without suffering any consequences, while Marquez had to retire due to damage to the rear of his Honda RC213V.
Alvaro Bautista also had an excellent race, finishing fourth at the finish line after having been fighting for the podium for a long time. The Spaniard was driving the injured Jorge Lorenzo's official GP18 for the first time.
