The Ducati rider, starting from pole, dominated from the first corner, leaving little margin to his pursuers.

“I knew that today I should have won, or at least made up points. It's a good thing for the championship that Fabio didn't finish the race. Today was beautiful and special. I started well and immediately closed the line at the first corner. I am lucky, I have people who love me and who help me. I know I'm fast, and you have to be sure of yourself. I know that if I work well I have the chance to fight for the victory or the podium. In previous races I was always focused on being fast, then I made mistakes or had bad luck, but I was fast. Here I was terrified of making another mistake, but I handled it well, even when it started raining. Being sure you can do well always helps a lot, even if today I was terrified of making a mistake, but you also think you understand. We go on holiday with this result which gives us great relief."
