MotoGP Dutch GP LCR Honda – Tenth and sixteenth positions for Cal Crutchlow and Takaaki Nakagami in free practice for the Dutch Grand Prix, the eighth round of this 2019 MotoGP world championship.

Despite the great work carried out today, the LCR team standard-bearers were unable to make the most of the potential of the RCV213V on the Assen circuit, an aspect that will require additional setting work in the sessions scheduled for tomorrow.

“First of all I crashed at the beginning of the FP1 session and I don't understand why”, Taakaki Nakagami said. “The data shows no anomalies and I wasn't pushing… maybe it was the track conditions. But then I set a good pace but I knew very well that in FP2 the others would improve."

“We tried the hard rear tire for several laps in preparation for the race but when I put the soft one on to do the fastest lap I struggled a lot. This is an exciting but "special" track so we will have to review the set-up tomorrow if we want to move up in the standings." he concluded

Here are Cal Crutchlow's ratings: “Obviously the tenth time is not what we deserve but overall the bike is fine, the weather was kind and maybe tomorrow will be better I hope. The problem is that the gap is truly negligible, seven riders within a tenth this morning and even worse in FP2. There are some riders who are really strong here and right now I'm not one of them, but we're working on it."
