Present at the press conference to present the Dutch Grand Prix, Marc Marquez spoke about his expectations for the next round in Assen, underlining how the main objective is to keep the Yamahas and Ducatis at a distance in the riders' standings. The layout of the track is particularly pleasing to the Spanish driver, which is why the objective will be to push hard from the first session on Thursday.

Here are the words of Marc Marquez: “It was a good weekend in Spain where we managed to move up in the championship standings. Furthermore, in the tests we managed to make some steps forward with the bike and we will work on them here too, trying to understand if these are effective improvements. Apart from this, Assen is a circuit that I like, especially the fourth sector."

“It's a beautiful track where I can have fun”, he added. “Obviously it's not one of my absolute favourites, like Austin or Sachsenring, but I manage to be quite consistent with my performances. We hope to be able to continue with this progression this year too. Furthermore, the weather could give us a big hand. Speaking of the championship, it is impossible, at the moment, to establish a real opponent for the world championship."

“There are many points to be awarded and many situations that can occur. There are still many races left. The Yamahas are close and the Ducatis are in excellent shape, so we'll try to protect our position."he concluded.
