MotoGP | Argentina GP Day 1: Iannone, “Our goal is Q2”

MotoGP GP Argentina Aprilia Gresini – Eleventh time for Andrea Iannone in the first free practice valid for the Argentine Grand Prix, second round of the 2019 MotoGP world championship.

The Italian from the Aprilia team showed good steps forward compared to the weekend in Qatar, finding an excellent feeling with the 2019 RS-GP. The objective now will be to continue on this path by finding access to Q2 in course of today's FP3.

“I am happy because we continue on the path we have set ourselves,” said Andrea Iannone. “Today we started well and ended the day half a second behind those who won the last race, an improvement that I don't think anyone expected from Aprilia in such a short time. The team works well, we are a good group with very clear ideas."

“Even today we saw how competitive MotoGP is, with 20 riders less than a second. A great battle for all the fans. Now our goal is to reach Q2, it would be a further demonstration of our constant growth"he concluded.
