MotoGP | GP Aragon Day 1: Luca Marini, “We worked well”

Ducati Sky VR46 Avintia GP Aragon MotoGP 2021 – Luca Marini closed the first day of free practice for the Aragon Grand Prix, the thirteenth stage of the 2021 MotoGP, with the 16th time.

In a Motorland with very high temperatures, Luca managed to stay just 4 tenths away from direct access to tomorrow's Q2 thanks to a good step forward between the two sessions and a best lap time of 1'48.456 which means a delay just over 8 tenths from the very leaders.

“I'm happy with today: we worked well with the team, it's just a shame that I made a few too many mistakes in my time attack with the new tyre. Aragon is not an easy track and compared to last year, it was a surprise to see such a competitive Ducati on this track. For tomorrow let's focus on the details: electronics, suspension and then doing well in FP4 to understand which tire to use for the race. At the moment all the compounds seem to perform well.”
