MotoGP | GP Aragon Day 1: Enea Bastianini, “I felt good straight away”

Ducati Esponsorama Avintia GP Aragon Spain MotoGP 2021 – Enea Bastianini closed the first day of free practice at the Aragon Grand Prix, thirteenth stage of the 2021 MotoGP, with the 10th fastest time.

The Avintia team driver recorded the eleventh time in FP1, while in the afternoon the Spaniard managed to significantly improve his time, finishing in ninth position, just over 4 tenths from the top.

“We started off on the right foot. I felt comfortable right away. This morning we didn't touch anything, while in the afternoon I didn't find the right feeling. Tomorrow we have to try to understand why it got worse with the heat and wind. I saved myself with the soft and we still have to work. Ninth place boosts morale. I didn't feel good with the medium on the front, it usually solves every problem, but this time it didn't. The soft one seems to be fine. This track rides similar to Moto2 compared to many other tracks we've raced at and I think that's why I was fast straight away. The goal is the top ten, but let's see if we can do better.”
