MotoGP Gp Teruel Motorland Aragon Honda Repsol Qualifying – Alex Marquez closed the qualifying for the Teruel Grand Prix, which takes place on the Aragon track, with the tenth time.

After last week's podium, the Spanish driver was aiming to do well in qualifying in order to have the chance to challenge for the victory, but starting so far back it could be all the more difficult.

“After qualifying, I asked the Race Direction where I should see a yellow flag, I was behind Lecuona, it could be that my vision was blocked. But I've never seen a yellow flag. I was then told that there had been a misunderstanding on the part of the marshalls. That's why we got the timing back. The progress can be seen at least in the lap time, because a week ago I only drove 1:48,1 in Q2. Today it's 1:47.7 min and 1:47.5 in FP3 in the morning. Of course I expected something more. I thought I could get a place in the first three rows. But to do that I would have had to drive 0,3 seconds faster and I couldn't. But at least we have a good race pace. This is why I am certain that I can still do a lot tomorrow. But from tenth place it will be difficult to get onto the podium because all the opponents have improved compared to last week. But we have good pace on used tyres. I'll try to start well again and then recover some positions. Our speed should help us. Top 5 is a realistic goal. If we want to move forward, we need luck for failures or other accidents. Our goal is a top 5 or top 6 result.”
