Nicky Hayden was the first Ducati rider in Estoril, as well as in Jerez. In Portugal on the first day of testing the American actually finished sixth fastest, "only" 633 thousandths of a second from the best time of the day, set by his former teammate Casey Stoner. The word is up to him.

“Conditions weren't perfect this morning, but since they gave a good chance of rain in the afternoon, we thought it was worth a try towards the end. The track was patchy, but I have to say that the new Bridgestone tire is better and safer in those conditions. This afternoon, the track was completely dry, except for some water infiltration at the last corner, which made it difficult to see the line. We did a couple of "steps" during the session but the time literally flew by. We still have a lot to do, especially for the guided part of the track where I struggle a bit with direction changes. We hope to be able to get the changes right and be more competitive tomorrow.”

dear Valentino, if you had the same bike as Lorenzo, you would continue to lose. The time has come to be less presumptuous.
