Sixth place for John Hopkins, who to find the right set-up had to change some adjustments to the gearbox and suspension, solving even minor mechanical faults by the end of the day. For tomorrow the Suzuki rider is very confident: if they continue to work along this line it is very likely that by the end of the qualifying session he and his team will make important improvements in view of the race. He has the microphone.

“We spent all this morning working on the distribution of our tires with the Bridgestone trying to get the best results in colder conditions. We changed some gearbox and suspension settings because finding the right set-up here is not as easy as it has been recently on other circuits. But we got to work and Stuart and the team have done a good job finding what we need. This afternoon we had a couple of small mechanical issues, but we resolved them all by the end and we are confident in what we can do tomorrow. If we can continue from where we finished this afternoon's session we can make important improvements tomorrow!”
