Alex Barros as well as his teammate Alex Hofmann failed to finish the Portuguese GP, the fourteenth stage of the 2007 world championship in the MotoGP class. Unlike Hofmann (who retired due to lack of motivation after starting from last position) Barros had to give up due to the failure of a mechanical component. Barros had already suffered the same fate in Misano and therefore can only be disappointed. The word is up to him.

“Bad luck doesn't seem to want to abandon me, after the retirement in Misano due to an electrical problem today it was the turn of a mechanical component to force me to retire with six laps to go when I was fighting with Elias for ninth position. I don't know what to think, but never mind, that's the way things are going and now it's time to concentrate on Japan and try to get a good result that will help with the final championship standings."
