Andrea Dovizioso e Ben Spies they believe that today it is impossible to understand whether Valentino Rossi's second place at Misano came thanks to a step forward made by the Desmosedici or due to lucky episodes that helped him during that weekend. There is now only a month left until the Valencia tests, the moment in which the two riders will test the Borgo Panigale red for the first time, trying to tame this bike which for almost all riders in the past has been indomitable.

At Misano Rossi was certainly helped by the new chassis brought for the home race by Ducati, but also The two days of testing held on the Romagna circuit at the end of August were fundamental for the Pesaro driver, a test that became even more important during the weekend as no one was able to ride due to the weather. For this reason Dovizioso said that he wants to see how the red bike will fare in Japan too to try to understand if the bike has actually taken an evolutionary step or not.

“I am convinced that the test done before the Misano GP gave a big hand – Dovizioso said to MCN – to Valentino to get on the podium. He had a really good race with a consistent pace, but it must be considered that compared to last year, we all rode a second slower there. I'm sure that with normal weather we would all have gone at least as well as last year. But we will never know if Ducati and Valentino could have gone even faster with better weather. I want to see if Japan and Malaysia can also be closer to the top. They are two tracks where Valentino is usually fast and if the bike goes well there too, then it means that it has improved."

Spies also wants to wait before he can say whether Ducati has improved or not. He told MCN “Rossi had a good race at Misano, but we know that we were all penalized by the damp asphalt. We were only able to run for 20 minutes before the race in dry conditions, while he had done more than 100 laps the previous weekend, so that test really benefited them a lot. However, the fact that he showed a good pace on that occasion is a positive thing."

...and then they have little to control, they will always be in front of him...they will have to wait for him on the track and follow him for a few metres...after a few seconds they will get tired and overtake him...it's slower than the Pope's car!!!

Now there's only a month left until the Valencia tests, the moment in which the two riders will test the Borgo Panigale red for the first time, and the legendary Vale will get on the much more competitive Yamaha M1... we're all looking forward to it too Fatman who is making such a fuss now that Pesarese is in difficulty... but as we know he is the anti-Rossi par excellence, the one with the raw parma on his eyes!!! if he doesn't go next year either, never mind, from '96 to today show he gave, he doesn't have an "S" printed on his suit...

...I see too well, nothing but ham on my eyes...wait a month, go there...then another and another...you'll see that afterwards you'll stop watching the world championship when the geriatrician retires...indeed, the MotoGP, the world championship is only for experts...come on, win the next race ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah , ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah…W Iannone and Spies!!!

I will never stop watching world motorbikes, I have been following it since '82, not yesterday and as I have already written to you, VR in his long career has given us stupendous "comebacks" feats, he no longer has to prove anything to anyone and after reading the statements of Preziosi, I can rest assured that he also gave his best in Ducati even if the results didn't arrive. When he retires I will find in other Italians my idol will never be like Valentino but the charm of sport will remain unchanged at least for me. However, when in the future there won't be much more who you will speak badly of?

it all depends on the riding style, the Ducati is certainly NOT an uncompetitive motorbike, in fact it is perhaps too competitive and the words of #46 at the first test in Valencia when he got off the Red were "it's a REAL competition motorbike" he's used to Japanese cars that you can ride He has NEVER found himself going shopping with that beast of a motorbike. Spies' style is more Ducati-like, where I see him as more precise but I have a lot of faith in Iannone even if he has to grow up, getting off a 2 hp Moto135 and getting on a 250 hp motorbike isn't easy......but with a bit of adaptation it can be done.
46 has NEVER digested Ducati and Ducati has NEVER digested the Tavullian. let's forget the fans of Borgo Panigale. -4 and then stay together.

you're absolutely right that Vale and Ducati are not meant to be together, I've always maintained that too, but don't let it be said that he has suddenly become an ass or that he no longer has the incentive to continue, he would never, ever have wanted a direct comparison with Jorge on Jorge's bike.. with Ducati it was a bit like with a woman, you start but you don't know if you'll actually get to the altar.. Getting off a Ducati in the first tests he will also have said this is a real racing bike, but maybe at the time he was sure he could tame it, now we know how it went. Better for Vale that he ends up here and finds himself somewhere else, better for Ducati who can experience the efforts of two with others unsuccessful years.. Dovizioso has grown a lot on the Yamaha Tech 3, but so far he has never reached the top step and he never managed to do so even on the Honda Mostro from a few seasons ago, I hope this happens next year" I see it as tough though "I would hate to see him trudge Melandri style, he has a good future ahead of him. For me, Iannone will be the new star of MotoGP together with Marc Marq...he has everything it takes to become a champion, great determination, great detachment and the courage of a lion , you can see it very well already in Moto2.. maybe there the CV is much less but his test on the Ducati went great, this will give him a greater boost, the only thing that worries me a little is that he will go racing on the team Sat..

They hope that it is not only thanks to Vale but also to the "suggested" development...

Sorry for the folkloristic expression but... they would also laugh their asses off with happiness.

You anti….. together with them :=)

…the only valid thing he can suggest concerns the color of the stickers on the motorbike…actually, it must be admitted, he is very good in this field!!!

    @Fatman

True, it is one of its many advantages: color is life, joy, emotion and not everyone knows how to combine colors in a pleasant way.

Yellow is sun, light, joy and on red which is passion and emotion..., like it or not, the combination is perfect.

Opps…, without meaning to you gave him another compliment, beautiful Fatman. ;-) ;-)

right Lyon.Fatman talks and talks but then in the end in my opinion he too is a Rossi fan perhaps "disappointed" by his results with Ducati but deep down... well Fatman we caught you..;)

...thanks, guys...I hope you understood what a joke...at least most of the time...it doesn't take anything away from the fact that the geriatrician has never been one of my favorites because of his incompetent fans...I repeat: I don't support anyone...I "sympathized" only with Bayliss... I was there in 2000 in Monza... never seen an overtaking like this... Haga is still dreaming about it... Troy's is also the only poster I have at home... and with this I close, it feels like after the Motegi defeat ah, ah, ah….ohps, I'm shit@ again!!!!

If we really have to talk about Ducatisti on Ducati, if you allow me..., Fogarty comes to mind first and then the others.

Maybe because for me Karl was truly a werewolf in the race…

I started to experience the "everyone standing on the couch" with him. ;-) ;-)

Great Bayliss, Checa, Haga but Karl guys..., heart-stopping from 14,00pm to 15,00pm...; luckily I was young.

I want to give you a treat: if you are in Bologna, exit 13 San Lazzaro, take the Stradelli Guelfi towards Castel Guelfo, after 2-3 km. on the right is Wilma (Trattoria La Borgatella).

Place with rustic wooden furniture, excellent tortellini, grilled and boiled meat, roasts, grilled vegetables at the buffet and, most importantly..., as soon as you enter on the right, behind the door and in front on a poster... photo by Karl, Ducati staff 80s-90s and the owner (the short one with the mustache aged 55-60) with King Karl Fogarty.

Karl, of course, always smiling and wide-eyed. :-)

It was certainly a place frequented by Ducati Corse, a bit like the Trattoria in Maranello for the Ferrari staff.

Go: during the day without reservation, in the evening if more than two it is better to book.

Nice place, good food and lots of Amarcord ;-)

Ps: as a Bolognese I say that tortellini can only be enjoyed in capon or at least chicken broth, in other ways it's like blaspheming...

Well, I'll tell you... they make botched tortellini (cream and ragù) that are an orgasm for the palate; of course the tortellini made by Sfoglina, not Rana, Barilla, Buitoni & Co.

Sorry for the digression and "not very" hidden advertising.

The food is really good at Wilma and Karl's.
