Shinya Nakano did not go beyond the fourteenth place finish in today's race of the MotoGP class on the Donington Park circuit, scene of the eighth round of the 2007 world championship. The Japanese rider of Team Konica Minolta encountered difficulties especially at the end when the track went away away drying. Nakano therefore preferred not to risk taking home two points. He has the microphone.

“With the constantly changing conditions it wasn't exactly an easy race. I had made a good start, but during the first lap, due to a loss of grip in the rear tyre, I risked falling and therefore losing a couple of positions. Things went well for the first ten laps, after that the conditions started to change and the asphalt started to dry. This didn't allow me to push as hard as I would have liked; with the track gradually drying out the tire slipped more. At this point I decided not to take unnecessary risks but to guarantee myself important points in the standings."
