MotoGP – Donington Park – Unlucky GP for Carlos Checa

There isn't much to say about Carlos Checa's race, who now just wants to quickly forget this grand prix and think about the rest of the season yet to be written. How can you blame him? In the wet the Catalan from Lucio Cecchinello's team was never able to find the right feeling, and for this reason he was hoping for a dry track. Unfortunately he was not satisfied. However, things didn't seem too bad at the start of the race, so much so that for a moment, after passing Melandri, the rider thought he could improve on his pace. Only for a moment, until, at turn 8, he lost the front, ending up on the ground on the run-off area. The word is up to him.

“After a few laps the feeling with the bike seemed better, so much so that I managed to pass Melandri and I also hoped to improve my pace in the wet. Then suddenly I lost control of the front in turn eight because I started to push more... maybe I overdid the braking. It's a shame because in the dry I could have had my say but today with the rain it was a real disaster and I want to forget this GP quickly.”
