Alex De Angelis achieved only the sixteenth time in free Practice 1 of the British GP, the tenth race of the 2009 season which will be held on Sunday at Donington Park. the San Marino rider of Team San Carlo Gresini did quite well in the wet, while at the end of the session with the asphalt drying out he preferred not to take risks. The word is up to him.

“As long as the track was wet I went well, then the sun started to dry the asphalt and the conditions changed radically. So I preferred to stop because with the wet setting I couldn't have improved. Today's sixteenth time doesn't worry me because the other riders adapted the bike to a set-up more suited to the track conditions in the final part of the session. Today's free practice was therefore of little use in understanding how our bike is going here at Donington, but we have some data to work on in case it rains tomorrow."
