MotoGP | Misadventure for Guido Meda: the yacht sinks on Giglio Island, everyone unharmed
The accident would have been caused by bad weather, with 14 other people and his family
MotoGP Guido Meda – The deputy director of Sky Sport, as well as a historic voice of the MotoGP, Guido Meda, was involved in an accident on board a yacht near Giglio Island this afternoon.
From the first reconstructions it seems that due to bad weather the boat hit the rocks and then sank. Together with Meda, 14 other people were present on the yacht, including her family (wife and three children), all of whom fortunately remained unharmed.
The commentator will have little time to recover after the scare, as the British Grand Prix is scheduled for this weekend, the twelfth stage of the 2018 MotoGP.
UPDATED
The accident, initially defined as 'small', was in reality a real nightmare. The boat would not have hit the rocks, but would have sunk due to bad weather and perhaps following a collision with an unidentified object, as written by Guido meda on social media. In an attempt not to create alarm, we have imperviously underestimated the story and we can only apologize to Guido Meda, his family and all the people on board the yacht at that moment.
