MotoGP: Dani Pedrosa “Silverstone is a demanding circuit”

Dani Pedrosa arrives at Silverstone with the search for the first success of 2012 in mind. The Spanish Honda rider third in the championship (85 points against Stoner's 95 and Lorenzo's 115) knows that it will not be easy to beat his rivals, but if he wants fighting for the championship must start winning. “This weekend we will be on track again, this time at Silverstone. The truth is that this week has been rather calm and I spent my time trying to prepare as best as possible for this weekend. I know I have to be strong physically, because when we come back from the UK we will have another week of rest before we have three races back to back (Assen, Sachsenring and Mugello). This week, unlike the other GPs, I will arrive on Wednesday evening. I will have a little more time to prepare for the race. Silverstone is a demanding circuit. There are many changes in direction, a factor that must be taken into consideration both from the physical side and from that of the bike setup. Then there will also be the unknown weather. We all know how unpredictable it is there, so we will have to adapt to all possible asphalt conditions. As for the fans, we have noticed a great improvement over the last few years. More and more people come to the races and therefore the atmosphere is better. It is a long circuit and in addition to the racing there are many activities and exhibitions for the fans.
