MotoGP – Dani Pedrosa does not underestimate Valentino Rossi

The Honda squad seems to be the point of reference for this first glimpse of MotoGP winter testing. The riders from the golden wing house dominated the first real test of the 2011 season, including Dani Pedrosa. The Spaniard from the Repsol Honda Team was in fact able to see first-hand the quality of the work of the Japanese technicians who in the last year of the 800cc are aiming for the title, a title they have not yet managed to win despite the fact that they themselves had pushed for this displacement. Pedrosa, however, does not underestimate Yamaha with his compatriot and world champion Jorge Lorenzo and the newly arrived Ben Spies and above all Valentino Rossi, who the Spaniard does not trust. Here are Pedrosa's words in this regard.

“Our team is very strong, with Stoner and Dovizioso – Pedrosa told MotoGP.com – And there are riders who did well in the first practice session, like Simoncelli and Aoyama. So anyone can give a surprise. As it stands, the 212 Honda RC2011V seems to be working well, as I mentioned last week. Let's see what happens in the first GP of the year, because everything can change. You never know, but so far everything points to a hotly contested World Cup. Yamaha is fast and the reigning champion Lorenzo is a rival to beat, while Spies already had a good season last year and will certainly be stronger this year. The big question mark could be Rossi.It's his first year with Ducati and in Malaysia he wasn't among the fastest. But Rossi is Rossi, he should never be trusted."
