Dani Pedrosa will have to give up racing "his" Catalunya Grand Prix. The Spanish Repsol Honda Team rider, who was the unfortunate protagonist of a contact with Simoncelli at Le Mans, hoped until the end to be able to compete at home but in the end had to give up. The fracture of his right collarbone (operated immediately after the French Grand Prix) would not allow him to be a protagonist. The word is up to him.

“After returning from France, I underwent an operation to stabilize the fracture in my right collarbone and be ready for Barcelona. I've done everything I can, but I feel like my shoulder isn't ready yet. Unfortunately I have to wait and recover well. Since the beginning of the year I have suffered from problems and operations and now I believe that the right thing is to stop and try to heal well. I would have liked to be at Montmelò with the fans who have always followed me, but when I go out on track, I want to do it to try to win, and now I'm not in the conditions to do so. It's a shame what happened. Despite all the problems I had at the beginning of the season, this year I felt very strong and aware that I could beat my opponents.
