Dani Pedrosa will not be at the start of the Malaysian GP, the next round of the 2010 world championship which will take place on Sunday (at 10.00 am Italian time) on the Sepang track. The Spanish rider had fractured his calvicle in a fall which most likely occurred due to a technical failure during the very first laps of free practice at Motegi.

The last chances of being at the start disappeared after careful consideration and Pedrosa made the understandable decision to stay at home to continue his recovery. The goal for his return remains the Australian Grand Prix, testing for which will begin on October 15th. In Pedrosa's absence, Team Repsol Honda will not field a replacement rider this weekend, and so Andrea Dovizioso will be the only flag for the official Honda team in Malaysia.
