The San Marino and Rimini Riviera GP should have been (the conditional is a must) the last GP of the year without Casey Stoner (in the photo by Alex Julius). The Ducati rider who missed 3 races due to well-known health problems should in fact take to the track in Estoril on October 4th. In the meantime, Stoner relaxed by going in the camper with his cousin; the pair traveled 4.000km from their hometown of Tamworth in New South Wales to the Top End. The 2007 world champion (who was seen playing on his iPhone before heading to the shops in Casuarina Square) made the fishing from Nightcliff Pier and onto the foreshore and at Corroboree Billabong, a mine for those who love fishing and wildlife photography. Corroboree Billabong (a lake created partly from rainy season water and partly from the nearby Mary River) is located approximately 150 km east of Darwin, on the Arnhem Hwy.

“I feel better and better here, and my appetite has really returned – said Stoner as reported by “ntnews” – We caught lots of fish, saw huge crocodiles and amazing wildlife. It was just what I expected Top End to be like.”

We therefore hope that the old Stoner will return, the one who delighted us with his guidance and determination. All that remains is to wait until October 4th.
