Casey Stoner returns to write for the last time on the Repsol Honda team blog and does so to greet all his fans and to tell us about his last days as a MotoGP rider. The Australian, even if he was certainly not a showman, he had entered the hearts of many fans around the world and everyone in the paddock and in fact when he showed up in the press room for the last time in Valencia, all the journalists and professionals stood up to applaud him. A real standing ovation lasted 5 minutes, leaving Stoner with two shining eyes that clearly indicated his state of mind.

“I'm not an emotional person – Stoner said – even if I had to change my mind a little. Taking away all the pole watches, the 2012 trophies and all my belongings that I had in the motorhome, I realized that I was really leaving. In recent years my team has been like a second family, and the tracks like a second home, so it was strange not to have been on the track these days during the 2013 tests. For this last race several friends from Australia to see me and Chaz Davies (Superbike rider ed.) and his girlfriend were also there. Of course the race weekend wasn't perfect, so it was nice to have friends around and go with them to the awards ceremony on Sunday evening." The Australian is referring to the ceremony held in honor of him by Dorna on Sunday evening to nominate him “Legend of MotoGP”, he is the 20th rider to receive this honor .
“I was missing time for my life – concluded Stoner – but now it certainly won't be like that. Certainly next year I'll be back to watch a race or two, maybe I'll come during a rainy and cold weekend, so I can see the drivers leaving for the race, while I sip a nice cup of hot tea"

...if you go to see the pilots under the water, you might as well drink something stronger than tea...maybe a scotch...good champion!!!

      Nice Fatman :-)

If then... you make him sip the 20 year old nectar... he becomes your best friend :-):-)

      Come back, come back…

Time for the first race of 2013 and you will already feel inactive, a wiskino and off you go...

2-3 wild cars and we'll find him back on track in 2014 :-)

@lyonn. hi boy!! Going back to yesterday's post I meant that on the sport site merd@set they didn't talk about valencia but there were only "ARTICLES" about aragon!! I wasn't talking about the live broadcast... I meant that I'm a little biased... even if in any case, as MGP comments, it drives me crazy. We miss Reggio a lot though!!!

        @Testoner

        Hi dear, I understood.

I have listed you other sites for better update.

For Fatman I agree with you: of all of them it seems to me to be the most enjoyable.

By now the legend bottle will be finished, the beers will not :-)

By the way, do you know that if I find the place with an ideal temperature of °18-°22 for at least 15 days. I would like to have a beer?

Between the kit and info already downloaded I could come up with something good :-)

It's difficult at home due to the gases it releases, the garage and cellar are cold...

The venue is missing, the rest is just a moment :-):-)

        I'll keep you up-to-date.

      3. tester said:

@lyonn. a nice wood stove in the garage with always a pot of water on it for the right humidity... and the beer is a pleasure. I have a friend who makes tons of it... and he makes it good too... if you need some advice I'll ask him!!

      4. Lyon66 said:

If you don't have an external vent or flue for the stove it's risky though... you burn all the oxygen in the room and create carbon monoxide.

An ex of mine and I did something similar in the mountains 26 years ago... luckily she felt ill and I took her to the hospital...

If I had been alone... I would have fallen asleep and I wouldn't be here...

However, I can find a place: I'm studying unhopped malt extracts for now :-)

        @Everyone

sorry for the off-topic topics: like on the old citroens... tonight I exchanged quick opinions with a friend about beer.

It's not spam, just a quick exchange of opinions between friends. ;-)

        Thanks for understanding :-)

    Thanks for everything Casey!!!

  • H954RR said:

DEAREST boy, it's strange for me and many others too not to see you again!
    I already miss it!

    1. tester said:

@h954r. dirty pig if it's strange... the bad thing will be the first race, when we really realize that he doesn't run anymore. However, I am sure he will return. Coming from someone who wanted to name his son Casey!! ps: think that when my wife was born they assigned him bed number 27, and his folder containing his data was red with the number 27 printed on it!!! if it wasn't meant to be that I had to call him Casey... and if anyone doesn't believe me I'll post all the photos!!!

      1. tester said:

anyway Sunday morning I'm at the EICMA IN MILAN... if you're there we can meet up!! or whoever else goes let me know.

      2. H954RR said:

Hello testers, excellent coincidences are good luck!
Then in the end you called him Casey?
And yes, at the first race there will be a huge void, let's hope that Marc does well straight away as apparently the boy is very promising.
I work on Sunday, the wellness center that I just opened already gives me satisfaction but it also takes up Sundays.
However, go BETWEEN this spring for a ride, I keep in mind that I already don't have a bike.
Have fun at EICMA on Sunday, maybe some friends of mine are going, I've already told them to stock up on catalogs for me.
        Hello.

      3. tester said:

@h954r. holy shit my wife didn't want it... but all my friends call him Casey!! and one of the first words he said was the name stoner. think that my best friend is blond with short hair and when my son sees him he says to me: daddy look at Casey! (you will know this friend of mine this spring. what's more, he's very much in love with motorbikes!! all my models (of Casey) have become his!! and the minibike (camel. but a Biaggi replica...) is already in the garage!! ps: he has 2 years old and has a wonderful 7 year old sister!! my princess. sorry if I wrote a bit about my jewels….

      4. H954RR said:

        Great!!!
        Hello.

  • clay said:

I can't even believe that if he's dead he won't come back!
Maybe not next year, but definitely the year after.
Look, if Pedrosa doesn't win the world championship and Marquez will be difficult in his first year, they'll kick Pedrosa out and he'll come back!
    Safe!

  • Lyon66 said:

I don't think Marquez will have great difficulties.

He will be able to experience, like many others, the first year of his apprenticeship but in the second... we will have a new phenomenon to fight for.

    I think, personal opinion...

    1. H954RR said:

Hi Lyon, in my opinion already in the fourth or fifth race the "manichetto" I am convinced that he will aim for the podium, this is strong and you will see what he will do with it, let's hope!

      1. Lyon66 said:

        H954RR

        Hi, I agree with you.

If so much gives me so much...: it seems like he started very well, the boy is good and smart :-)

I'm really curious to see him on the track.

  • unclepaperino said:

it would be nice without throwing anyone out, for them to remake an official team with three riders... practically a single-brand team, I think that in this way it would be difficult for anyone other than the three of them to see the podium again

  • W_il_Sic said:

The greatest sin, a consequence of Stoner's absence, will be that I will no longer see my beloved Adriana!! :-(
It's Fatman's whiskey won't be enough for me to forget….

    1. tester said:

@w-il.. if I can give you some advice, come and see melandri's work. great c@v@lla!!!!

      1. clay said:

Yes, a great piece of gnoc.a!!!

      2. H954RR said:

Great tester, I've always said that Manu is a bitch, actually the hottest!!!
Marco's little boy sometimes on the podium the c…. in passing, BUT HOW IS IT DONE!!! I immediately stuck my tongue in his mouth! Sorry, but with Manu I touch myself every now and then, ah ah ah, it's a joke.
Hi W_il_Sic, they're both hot... but Adriana is a bit young, for me Manu is the hottest of the various pilots' sluts, what an ass Macio has!

    2. W_il_Sic said:

You're right, I've seen her several times on TV, she looks like a perfect and unattainable sex machine, but... But Adriana is the wonderful girl next door!!!
      Even more unattainable!!!

      1. W_il_Sic said:

...well, sorry for the Off-Topic, but I really don't understand, then you say that I'm the "bad guy" and call someone an idiot.

But you MUST explain to me: here we're talking about pussy and gnoccolone,
and suddenly 2 red thumbs appear on me and the same on H954RR???

well, mysteries... unless it's someone who really doesn't like patenza!
Then you've got the wrong blog! I recommend this to him:

        http://gayburg.blogspot.it/

        ;-)

      2. H954RR said:

Hi W, forget your thumbs don't take it and have a laugh like I do.

      3. H954RR said:

Ah W, you read "sgnacchera" and you countered with patency, there's no chatter and snark but something tells me that you too know where these terms come from, are you clever?

      4. W_il_Sic said:

        @H954RR:

        Ooooooh yeahaaaa!!

w-the.. hi it's 21pm.. and I can't believe it but I haven't gotten a red thumb on this page yet…. do not get angry!! it must be someone who thinks of you like I did a few weeks ago!! the problem is that it is enough for someone to have read even just one joke of yours about one of their idols who they think is trolling them!! a bit like among many of us who took time to understand!!

    3. Lyon66 said:

      Boys…

I'll take the one you discard among these mega chips ;-);-)

      1. tester said:

@lyonn. go there Lyonn you're old! You don't want to get hit..!!!!!!! then I guess the hand only leaves your skin down there!!!

      2. H954RR said:

Lyon, the Manu is my favorite but rest assured, I won't discard even one of all those potatoes, including the little umbrellas!!!

      3. H954RR said:

“I don't discard even one of all those potatoes, including little umbrellas” I think I said something stupid…, of course they don't put “artichokes” in there, eh eh.

      4. tester said:

@h954r. no, I sell the artichokes in the shop...

      5. H954RR said:

Miiiiiinghia, I think I'm one of the few who continues to eat them in all ways!
Oh the “artichoke type” is not good but as a vegetable it is excellent.
So do you have a fruit and vegetable shop?

      6. tester said:

@h954r. Hi H. and yes, I'm a fruitarian!! here as we are historians. we have been a family of greengrocers since 61... in fact I am very fond of plums and potatoes!!!

      7. H954RR said:

Ah, right in Como, beautiful city.
        Hello, happy EICMA.

      8. H954RR said:

Now you are an institution, when you have been around for a long time you become one.
Be careful when writing "potatoes and plums" because if wives read eh eh?!
        Ah ah ah!

It certainly won't be 5 or even 10 minutes of applause that will make this guy waver...all the fans, including those of the Australian, don't like the idea of a MotoGP without the number 27...but Casey is an extraordinary rider and a person out of the mainstream...rejecting 15 million is not for everyone...his is a very noble choice...to dedicate himself to his family and have time for himself...a simple person with no worries like him couldn't resist for long in this environment...Casey is a racing animal, a pure track animal...he's not interested in the limelight or fame...and I'm sure that if you give him a motorbike and a track and opponents to beat he won't hold back... maybe all behind the garden of his house... but no longer in a race with sponsors, umbrellas, briefings, photos, paddocks, press conferences, promotional commitments etc... just a black strip of asphalt... you will see that it will once again lower the helmet visor and will give us the thumbs up...and then what he did on and off the track won't go down in history or do you believe that winning with a Ducati is something for everyone? or do those crazy laps on a Honda? or better and more emblematic of all…Triumph where Rossi miserably failed? and I would also say, the icing on the cake, rejecting a MONSTER offer from HRC, the largest and most powerful motorcycle manufacturer in the world, which for the first time has GIVEN PRIORITY TO THE RIDER AND NOT THE MOTORCYCLE????!!!! !
They basically did with Casey what they didn't do with Vale…GO FISHING CASEY!!!!

    1. W_il_Sic said:

In fact, the Japs took advantage of the MISTAKE made with Rossi, and changed tune: to err is human, to persevere is diabolical.

Since the Japs are not stupid they understood and did not make the same MISTAKE twice…..

    2. H954RR said:

It's for the whole thing including what you said that I have a lot of admiration and lack of that great phenomenon Casey.
