MotoGP: Casey Stoner “It's frustrating to ride the 1000 on tracks like Jerez”MotoGP: Casey Stoner “It's frustrating to ride the 1000 on tracks like Jerez”

Casey Stoner, two-time MotoGP world champion and dominator of all the pre-season tests, spoke about the difficulty of using the new 1000 on tracks like Jerez, the scene of the last test before the start of the 2012 season (which will start next April 8 in Qatar). The Australian Repsol Honda Team rider admitted that it is impossible to exploit the power of these bikes on tracks like the Andalusian one, here are his words in this regard.

“This track (Jerez) is too small, especially for large-displacement motorbikes. There is no need for sixth gear – said Stoner as reported by MCN – Even at Laguna Seca I think we can have a greater top speed. It's frustrating to ride in Jerez with the 1000s because with the throttle it's all open and close and there's no point where you can really use the power of these bikes. You are constantly trying to stop the bike from doing a wheelie. When different tracks arrive it should be much more fun to use the power of these bikes.”

Cal Crutchlow, Team Tech 3 Yamaha rider, is of the same opinion
“It's difficult to get to 100% throttle in Jerez with the 1000s and the bike always tends to wheelie. Coming from a long and fast track like Sepang, here (Jerez) felt like being on a go-kart track.”

Ahh, the frustrated billionaires…what would I do to them!!

He is always frustrated from birth …………

Already here I think he defended himself well. think about what he gets up to in “fun” circuits…

But if the other day he was happy with the tests, now he's frustrated, well, it took him 2 days to understand?

What to say? Stoner now has very limited tolerance for frustration. It's frustrating to have 4 kilos more (note well, not just him, but everyone. Bah...), it's frustrating to ride in Jerez (according to some, Dorna did it on purpose to favor Valentino), but it was NOT frustrating to ride that gate which is now in Rossi's hands. Well again... Okay, with that gate years ago he won a world championship, but with the decisive help of the special Bridgestones that only Ducati had at the time. But as soon as everyone was on par, he had to take refuge in Australia for three months to treat various psychosomatic illnesses. In short, beyond his undoubted abilities, Casey should form a team with Max Biaggi: the Piangina Team. A lamp to everyone (even Biaggi and Stoner)

Well, reading the comments it seems to me that the most frustrated are Casey's opponents and their fans (power wears out those who don't have it)

  • theoldpaul said:

Dear Fabrizio, you are absolutely right. Today no one can only dream of not only beating but at least coming close to Stoner. Certainly not Pedrosa, he has never been a winner, perhaps Lorenzo who has a "hunger" within him that only the Cannibal has had in the past. However, one fact remains: mother who cries that she is her!

  • Fabrizio said:

Dear theoldpaul; Over the last year and a half, Rossi has put together more whimpers than Casey did in his entire career. And the fork doesn't work, and the footrests are too high, too low, the bike is too long, the desmodromic doesn't work well, the frame must be like this, not like that, I have no traction, the electronics don't work, we're not precise when entering the corner, someone had wonderful ideas that turned out to be bullshit (interview in the newspaper or motosprint, I don't remember)... etc etc etc.

  • Fabrizio said:

Furthermore, the fact that he normally comments that that circuit is not suitable for rendering 1000 seems normal to me. Clinging has this to say that crying is really frustrating. We no longer know what to hold onto to throw at him, since the verdict of the track is indisputable.
What can I say, guys, there is no tripe for cats...

Question, who would you go for a beer with? not with Stoner.full stop.enough.

The fact that he wins as he knows how to win certainly doesn't make him any more likable

  • Zardoz said:

Here he is, you give frustrated people to others, and then you bring up Valentino Rossi who has nothing to do with the topic. Look, I support Rossi and I'm neither frustrated nor disappointed, he gave us so many happy moments that we have enough for another 10 years. And your increasingly frustrated comments can do nothing.

Dear Fabrizio. So far I have been calm, polite, objective and courteous. But if I have to be called frustrated by a newbie like you, I'll gladly leave you to your sobbing kangaroo. Have a nice holiday in Australia. Don't feel bad about it, but I like to argue, not insult or be insulted. A lamp to everyone.

He goes to travel to Australia with the fish.....

  • Andrea said:

Come on, can you even start a controversy over a subtlety like that?
Let's not take everything literally, the word “frustrated” or “frustrating” is something all drivers say about everything!!
Stoner simply expressed an opinion on a track that he evidently does NOT love and which is not very fun for him on the 1000s... I don't think he is complaining!!

  • Andrea said:

    XAndy

I would go for a drink (a coke because I'm a teetotaler :P) with Stoner rather than with Rossi... I don't understand, what's the problem?
It's not that one wrote "good" and the other "bad"... they are simply different from each other

  • Paolo Rossi said:

Quite ridiculous comments from professional anti-Stoners (those, to be clear, who said until a year ago that he only won thanks to the electronics of the super-Ducati).
One thing that no one considers, here as in previous cases, must always be kept in mind: attention to literal translations. Frustrating in Italian means one thing, the English adjective used by Stoner another which would be more correct to translate as "not fun". Basically, Stoner simply said that it's not nice, it's a shame not to be able to use the power of the thousand on a twisty track like Jerez. That's all.

Paolo BLABLABLABLABLA come on, the cangouroto is a braggart………………..

Hi everyone, I'd go and have a beer with De Puniet so maybe he'll even bring us some playboys

  • lemmy said:

Come on Casey, calm down! your friend from Tavullia will have a lot of fun on this track: now he doesn't have much use for open throttle on all the tracks.. maybe he'll have fun on this one, right???? ;-)

  • wlf said:

It will be interesting to see the times of moto 2 compared to motogp… in my opinion, actually, and without talking about being frustrated, he is right….

  • Viola said:

I would take Mr. Stoner around with an old 500 and then we'll see if it's frustrating to continually end up on the ground...
I'm a Rossi fan but I think Stoner and Lorenzo are very strong, but I really can't stand Stoner as a person, nothing ever goes well for him and the 4kg and the piston aren't suitable for 1000m, every time there's one...

  • Micbatt said:

Don't worry Stoner.... when you see that Lorenzo will beat you good this year.... you will feel even more frustrated…. if the Ducati gets in front of you sometime... will you disappear for 3 months? But now I wonder one thing: why does he always complain? Maybe he should come down from the pedestal a little….

  • Stephen said:

I am convinced of one thing, Stoner was also convinced this year that he was in the conditions of last year or even of 2007, that is, with a bike that makes him win (he only makes mistakes and crashes), he certainly changed his mind and it's starting to send signals to Honda, cuckold ahahhahahahahahha.

  • H954RR said:

I don't understand all this hatred towards Casey, he just said that it's a track he doesn't like and he rightly pointed out that the extra weight said at the last moment caused problems for the bike.
Then for the frustrated, complainer and braggart, be careful not to confuse him with someone else.
Or is it the stomach ache from envy and hatred that someone is developing for someone who "BASTONER" everyone?
