The Honda Australian is working to get back before "his" Phillip Island

Casey Stoner, Repsol Honda Team rider, is fighting against time to be present in "his" Phillip Island, a race scheduled for October 28th. The Australian who had seriously injured his ankle (he had suffered ligament damage as well as microfractures) during qualifying in Indy (after which he raced, however, finishing 4th) was then operated on August 30th by Dr. Lam at North Shore Private Hospital.

As Sportal.com.au reports, Stoner is recovering at his home in New South Wales. “My goal is to get back on the bike, finishing like this would be a disaster – said the two-time MotoGP world champion – I'll be back as soon as possible. Even after the operation my ankle will probably still not be 100 percent.”

The Australian has won the last five editions of Phillip Island, his dream is to get back on the bike and win the sixth, a goal which at the moment, as mentioned, seems more like a "dream", but sometimes dreams come true. We remind you that the former Ducati rider will retire at the end of the season, as announced at Le Mans.

I'm almost starting to hope that he won't be able to get back on the saddle, and so, in order not to end his adventure in a painful way, he decides to race again next year...
But it will be impossible, Casey is all in one piece and his ideas don't change depending on where the wind blows like mr. “let's stick together”.
    Go Casey!!!

Sghembo, is it possible that all Stoner's fans are so clueless and so horny that they stage controversies against Rossi even if there is no news?

    1. no controversy, maybe a few harmless digs. When VR put that helmet on I thought: come on, even if he has always spoken badly about Ducati he is still motivated, right now that the situation is stormy he gives a strong signal to start again (with Audi investing hard in development), maybe it's a way of telling each other to come together on both sides, an almost light admission of small misbehaviors; all bullshit. I still wonder why that helmet, there was no need for it and it just made fun of a lot of people.
Rather, it is the followers of 46 who are blindfolded and also deny the evidence; I'm not without shit to do anyway; I have a degree in engineering, I work (unfortunately) in the evening I play with my group I have a nice girl to manage and for economic reasons unfortunately at the moment I'm without cavalry but in the spring a nice KTM will arrive to have fun in the woods.

in my opinion Valentino's helmet was not for Ducati but for all of us fans, or maybe not, but I don't know, in any case it doesn't matter because from next year things will change and we'll take stock... as far as Casey is concerned I think it's a big shame he could have win another world championship before abandoning ourselves to who knows what future. the boy is strong and I think he will be back sooner than expected, at least I hope so for him and for us.

Hi, I find myself forced to answer you here because I've been absent for 2 days: at least I'm sure you read the answer...

I respect your opinion, like everyone else's has always been, however..., you say that I am giving a ridiculous response to your post (from a few days ago referring to Vale).

In my opinion, in that case, your version and response to my post is ridiculous: if the truth hurts, we'll go back to talking about nothing again but, naked and raw, that's the real truth; Willy-nilly.

Nobody wants to break their bones on a motorbike "for nothing", some people do it more than others; result? Congratulations: as always… “zero results”.

Anyone who tries is in the "hospital" without a medal and certainly thinking for a long time..., for a long time..., for a very long time... with a single answer: who made me do it?

        How much is biiip?

And the others win the World Cup.

Come on..., philosophy and rhetoric are rarely discussed in MGP, you will agree at least on this, I hope...

I don't share your point of view, even though I respect your position; I don't agree because I find it to be yet another "colorful piece" to justify Rossi's opaque performances... and mind you, I agree with you... Rossi isn't comfortable on the bike and doesn't pull because he risks falling and getting hurt ...it's all there...it's a fact that takes nothing away and adds nothing to the Rossi-Ducati situation; A certain rider took a lot of falls (and was denigrated for this reason) just to do his job and as a serious professional...paid to race...certainly Stoner too, at a certain point, broke the balls of falling and changed direction …but as long as he was sitting on the Desmo he drove at breakneck speed. There is a big difference in this in my opinion...

What I read in these few lines is that the rider has the desire to return to the track as soon as possible...obviously there is no certain date...but that it is a dream to return to the track in Australia seems a bit exaggerated to me...maybe, knowing the character, this one takes to the track at Aragon and even wins there (which I hope...at least to see him on the track).

    hi lyon 66
I'm sorry to contradict you, but Pedrosa was always on the ground and drove a Honda, Lorenzo was the same in his first year on Yamaha, Rossi also got hurt on Yamaha..
all riders, even multiple world champions, fall, it's a risk that is part of the job,
drivers always take risks if they drive at the limit.
Valentino, in my opinion, mindful of last year's falls, didn't give one hundred percent
