Casey Stoner (Honda Repsol) achieved a dominant victory in the Czech Republic Grand Prix, the eleventh round of the MotoGP championship held at the Brno circuit, taking his sixth victory of the season. After a battle in the initial stages of the race with teammate Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo (Team Yamaha), the Australian rider took the lead of the race on the third lap, maintaining the position until the checkered flag. Pedrosa, author of the pole position, was forced to retire due to an off-track exit when he was in the lead, leaving the remaining two podium positions to Andrea Dovizioso (Honda Repsol), second, and Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini ), third. All the riders on the starting grid opted for the option of a tire with a softer compound type for the rear, while for the front almost all of them used the harder compound tyre, except Alvaro Bautista (Rizla Suzuki), who dropped out of track when he occupied sixth position, and Jorge Lorenzo (Team Yamaha), who finished in fourth place ahead of teammate Ben Spies.

Hiroshi Yamada – Head of Bridgestone Motorsport: “Casey had a fantastic race, lapping with a consistent pace, so I want to congratulate him and the Honda Repsol team. I'm sorry for Dani after the excellent performance achieved in qualifying and for Alvaro and the Suzuki team, very competitive on the Brno track. We saw an interesting fight between Andrea, Marco and Jorge until the end and of course it's nice to see Marco take the first podium in MotoGP. The Brno circuit always attracts a large number of fans to the stands, which numbered 155.400 on race day alone."

Tohru Ubukata – General Manager, Head of Development Bridgestone Motorsport: “The weather conditions were similar to last year and the tire choice was also the same, but the total race time was 6 seconds faster than in 2010, demonstrating the progress made in the development work by all the teams and the high level achieved in the competition. I am satisfied with the performance of our tires in the race because the durability was excellent and the lap times were consistent. The new tire compound assignment system was introduced this weekend and I can say that the feedback from the drivers and teams has been positive."

Casey Stoner – Honda Repsol – Winner: “If we look at the points it was an important victory and it couldn't have gone better. This weekend was very busy for everyone and I was a bit worried before the race about the competitiveness level of the bike. In the race he showed excellent pace and we achieved a deserved success. It's a fantastic result and I'm very happy!”.

HELLO, WHY DON'T YOU PUBLISH The best lap/time in the race for each driver (and related lap number) and if possible even the lap by lap times for the drivers? no one does it on the web and it would be really nice to be able to analyze them.
