MotoGP – Brno QP1 – V. Rossi: "We can fight for it"MotoGP – Brno QP1 – V. Rossi: "We can fight for it"

These days it is difficult to see Valentino Rossi outside the front row, but it happened today in Brno where the eleventh round of the 2005 MotoGP world championship will take place tomorrow. The rider from Pesaro who widely leads the world rankings (+120 points over Melandri) has in fact he found on his way a very determined Sete Gibernau who took pole position, the winner of Laguna Seca Nicky Hayden and a very spirited Loris Capirossi on a Ducati Desmosedici GP5 finally at ease with the new Bridgestone tyres. Rossi is however confident about the race (and how could it be otherwise!!) and thus comments on his qualifying.

“We didn't manage to hit the front row, the others went faster! We did a good job for tomorrow and the bike is quite good. It will be a very difficult race with many riders competing. Here Gibernau and Capirossi are going strong, we can compete. Many went fast, with 1'57"8 I thought I was in the front row but there was the news of the inclusion of Ducati with Capirossi. It's difficult to leave here, I foresee a group race.”
