MotoGP Brno, Free Practice 4: Yamaha at the top with Lorenzo and Rossi
The standard bearers of Team Yamaha Movistar preceded Marquez and the Ducatis of Iannone and Dovizioso
MotoGP 2015 GP Czech Republic FP4 – The fourth free practice session of the MotoGP class in Brno, not valid for the purposes of entering Q2, but which says a lot about the race pace, saw Jorge Lorenzo once again excelling.
The two-time MotoGP world champion stopped the clock at a time of 1:56.274, a time that allowed him to beat team-mate and world leader Valentino Rossi by just 97 thousandths.
Two Yamahas in the lead and chasing Marc Marquez's Honda and the Ducatis of Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso. The two GP15s seem much more competitive on Czech soil, even if yesterday both drivers complained about the many potholes on the Czech track, which obviously don't help from a race perspective.
Behind Dovizioso was the limping Dani Pedrosa, victim yesterday of a fall caused by the fork oil leak of his Honda RC213V. The Espargarò brothers follow, with Pol (Yamaha) ahead of Aleix (Suzuki), the excellent Danilo Petrucci, riding the Team Pramac Ducati and Bradley Smith's Yamaha.
