Czech Republic GP Ducati MotoGP race – Very difficult race for Jorge Lorenzo at the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The Majorcan finished in 15th position.

The first part of the race for the Ducati rider started in the best way, then unfortunately, the problems started when he changed bikes.
The Spaniard's bike wasn't ready and he was forced to return to the track with the GP17 not perfectly set up. Furthermore, a problem when restarting from the pitch slowed him down further.

These are the words of Jorge Lorenzo: “When I passed Rossi, one corner before the T4 climb, two corners before the garage. I read the bike change on the screen, but the bike wasn't ready. They were still fitting the tires and adjusting the settings. Then it took me a long time to find the right rhythm in the dry. But it wasn't yesterday's setting, because they didn't have time to put the right setting. They took a long time to start fixing the bike. In the pits they saw that Marquez was going fast and thought that 30 or 40 seconds was enough to do everything, and therefore it wasn't necessary to do another lap, but that wasn't the case. Without the message I would have done at least one more lap.”

The Majorcan also spoke on the safety factor of flag-to-flag races, defining them as risky especially given the accident involving Iannone and Espargarò: “In the end Dorna is in charge, we are just riders and we have to do what they decide, I have proposed some things while other riders are against. Dorna decides this way due to timetables and entertainment issues, but this leads to many risks for everyone."
