MotoGP Brno, FP3: Marquez ahead of Pedrosa and Rossi, Petrucci forced to Q1

GP Czech Republic MotoGP Free Practice 3 – The third free practice session of the MotoGP class in Brno (tenth round of the 2017 MotoGP), saw the riders take to the track with a temperature of 25.5° in the air and 36.2° on the asphalt.

The session was interrupted a few minutes after the start due to the failure of the air-fence, the inflatable protection used after the breakaway areas. It was ruined by the Hondas of Cal Crutchlow and Marc Marquez, who fell on some liquid left by Alvaro Bautista's bike, which fell moments earlier.

The fastest of these Free Practice 3, whose last minutes were as usual "fiery", was Marc Marquez, who set a time of 1:55.370. The world championship leader preceded his team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Valentino Rossi, who set the third time with a time of 1:55.758.

The Yamaha champion from Pesaro preceded his teammate Maverick Vinales and the first Ducati, the Desmosedici GP17 without Andrea Dovizioso's new fairing. The driver from Forlì made a conservative choice given that he is fighting for the world championship and should prove it in Monday's tests.

Cal Crutchlow was the author of the sixth fastest time, thus putting the Honda of Team LCR ahead of Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia, Johann Zarco's Team Tech 3 Yamaha and Jorge Lorenzo's Ducati (on the track with the new fairing already tested yesterday) and Loris Baz.

Danilo Petrucci was unable to enter the Top Ten and will therefore be forced to compete in Q1 to compete for access to Q2. The Team Pramac Ducati rider "showed off" a new fairing, different from that of Lorenzo.

Forced into Q1 were among others Jonas Folger (eleventh), Andrea Iannone (twelfth) and Scott Redding (nineteenth).
