MotoGP Brno: Dani Pedrosa makes the Warm Up his own
The Honda Spaniard ahead of Marquez and Rossi
Dani Pedrosa achieved the best time in the Warm Up of the MotoGP class in Brno, where the Czech Republic GP will start at 13 pm Italian time (given the concomitance with the Formual 00 which runs in SPA).
The Repsol Honda Team rider stopped the clock at a time of 1:56.515, a time just 3 thousandths better than that set by his team-mate and world championship leader Marc Marquez.
Two HRC Hondas are therefore in the lead, ahead of the two official Yamahas of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo (only 98 and 125 thousandths behind respectively). After the difficulties in qualifying, the rider from Pesaro went very fast, as he had also hypothesized yesterday in the post-qualifying press conference, where despite his starting position he said he was very confident. The reigning champion had a different opinion and, despite being ahead of the Pesaro rider, wasn't very happy.
Poleman Cal Crutchlow is fifth and 259 thousandths behind Pedrosa. Behind him the Honda of Team LCR of Stefan Bradl, his team-mate Bradley Smith, Alvaro Bautista (who we remember will start from the front row with the Honda of Team Gresini) and the two Ducatis of the internal team of Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso, which close the Top Ten. separated by 0.851 and 1.755 respectively.
Followed by Michele Pirro (Ben Spies' replacement), the ART CRT of Aleix Espargarò and Andrea Iannone, with the second Ducati of Team Pramac. Sixteenth and eighteenth times for Danilo Petrucci from Terni and Claudio Corti from Como, riding the Ioda Suter BMW and FTR Kawasaki.
