MotoGP Brno Alvaro Bautista: “I had more confidence with the bike”

Fifth place for Alvaro Bautista, who completed the entire race together with Valentino Rossi, who finished just 77 thousandths behind. The Spaniard from the Gresini team started from second position on the grid and managed to maintain a good pace throughout the race, confirming the path of improvement that began at Laguna Seca.

“Once again I was close to being in front of Rossi and instead I ended up behind by just 77 thousandths. But I'm happy because I had a good race with a good pace, definitely better than in practice because I had more confidence with the bike. The battle with Valentino was good and perhaps in the end he had something more than me. We are on the right path that we have taken since Laguna Seca and this is very important. In fact, on a track like this one in Brno, on which we didn't have a good feeling last year, we went well and therefore it is confirmation that we are going through a happy moment. We hope to continue like this because we can have fun in the near future together with the Team, Honda, GO & FUN, Showa and Nissin.”
