The nine-time world champion will use the new aluminum swingarm

It's a positive Valentino Rossi who spoke after the pre-race press conference of the Catalunya Grand Prix, the fifth race of the 2012 world championship. The Ducati rider spoke about the recent tests at Mugello, the new swingarm and the modifications electronics. Rossi knows that this won't be enough to get closer to the leaders, but in the meantime he will use the aluminum swingarm on both bikes available, unlike Hayden who, suffering from chattering, will use the carbon one. The Pesaro native then also spoke about the Le Mans race and the earthquake that hit Emilia Romagna, which was up to him.

“The Mugello tests weren't bad, what I didn't like is that the engine runs more or less the same but we expected that. Let's say that at Mugello there was a small change to the engine, but I already knew that it wouldn't be enough; something else is needed and Ducati is working on it. We hope to be able to use it as soon as possible but for now the engine remains the "old" one. However, we must say that the Mugello test can be considered positive, even if you go alone it is difficult to understand, however I especially liked the swingarm and electronics. I lapped quite well, more easily and kept a more "constant" race pace and put less stress on the rear tire. Now we need to understand, our goal is to improve in the dry and be closer to those in front, the "black" Yamahas (Dovizioso and Crutchlow) and Bautista, not from tomorrow but possibly on Sunday afternoon.

I didn't have the same chattering problems that Hayden encountered. He discarded the aluminum swingarm and will use the carbon one, while I liked it straight away, it gives me less problems and I will use it. I will have two bikes with aluminum swingarms but we can still possibly go back here too, although I hope to continue with that. As for the engine, the next one will be like this then we'll see for Laguna. In testing we will continue to use the current one. In those of Barcelona and Aragon we should try to better understand electronics and swingarm. To improve delivery we will have to make bigger changes and they are working on it now. We are working on a few things and Laguna Seca is a limit that Ducati has set itself to test this slightly "more" different engine; actually, don't try but use, because we're going to use it even before; I don't know exactly where and when (probably Mugello) but I don't think we can go to Laguna and use it without having tried it first. However, there are a lot of races left between here and Laguna and so we have to try to do better first. I sincerely hope that the changes can give me something in terms of tenths, while Le Mans was a special occasion and I am still happy to have exploited it 100%. I feel fit, motivated, but we need to go stronger technically. We must try to start well from tomorrow and see if we are closer on Sunday.... if it were to rain “too bad”!.

As regards the earthquake, being still didn't create any problems... on the contrary, more than anything else, great solidarity for those who felt it, even the guys who work with me and who were so scared. In addition to physical damage, now one lives in fear of returning home, it's not a good situation, we hope it will end soon but for us it's not a problem."

There are two things, Ducati really isn't capable of designing a winning bike in this category (given that the TOTAL change in design direction hasn't helped to improve the situation) or Valentino really has a block that isn't able to make it go fast , regardless of the motorbike.

“pleasure” and exhilarating to see the yellow46 on the Turk before getting on the motorbike and how she always adjusts the thong as soon as it leaves for the bottom reddened by the passage of Uccio, AAAAaaaaaahhhhhahahahah!

There's nothing to laugh about, you know, of all the idiots who write here you are THE BIGGEST IDIOT OF ALL TIME and you deserve an honorable mention as the biggest idiot who has ever appeared in these pages, I hope you come back in nothing from which you come and that the pneumatic vacuum that you have in place of your brain implodes your head.

Well I'd say that after the French GP he proved that it's the vehicle that doesn't work and not him, anyone who rides a motorbike knows what it means to ride under water!! so he has demonstrated once again how lethal his driving is, he is 100% missing the vehicle!!! one wonders if he will ever arrive...

it always goes around and around we talk about him but we don't talk about motorbikes and engines anymore. only pilots, defaulting models, hysterical crises, etc, what's the end of this wonderful commercial? It's a shame, it's a shame, hello everyone.

Do we need more technically? To the superpilot? That it was enough to think about what time he wanted to do, and he did it? To the multiple champion? To the phenomenon? Dear Ducati engineers... do you want to understand, yes or no?????!!!!!!! VaLentino is asking you for the autopilot……not the competitive motorbike (which perhaps you already have (Who knows in Stoner's hands where it would be….certainly ahead of VaLentino (1 name…..1 guarantee……)!

you always speak out of turn, if you turn things around your stoner would hit the ground a lot. anyway if you like stoner so much, next year, go with him to Australia to graze cows. I'll pay you the ticket!!!

I would go to Australia with Stoner…..you stay with your VaLentino…..the tax evader…..and pay the taxes for him too…..

but.....I wonder what you expect...a motorbike must be designed, created and developed...and this cannot be done in a few months...in France we had proof that when the motorbike goes the rider...so it's useless say if stoner comes back, valentino is boiled, etc....this bike just needs to be developed...but it takes time...but someone has the spice in them......

In France what? but then when Guintoli, Vermeullen and West competed in the wet, what was your point? Sorry...a rider must be fast in all situations and the bike must be competitive on all circuits and in all weather...it doesn't work as you say, Rossi is no longer as fast as he used to be and the Ducati is not the bike for Rossi, period.

I really think that Valentino will make Stoner cry by taking precious points away from Lorenzo...

So he shoots him in the back?

Rossi with the Ducati inverted bikes and crashed at least once during a race weekend
without counting those in private tests
that is, more stoners in his career…
very disappointing results, a podium because 2 riders in front of him crashed and one retired... when stoner won a world championship with that bike, many victories and pole positions
valentino failed, perhaps now that he has distorted the ducati making it similar to a jap he could achieve something
one solution to see him win would be to go back to the old days
    SPECIAL RUBBERS JUST FOR HIM………
Who knows if these constant distortions of regulations have something to do with it
and don't say they are for everyone..
the changes benefit teams that are behind in development
    GO STONER!!!!!!!!!!!

I remind you that Stoner won with the Ducati because he rode the Michelins only for that reason he would look as good as usual if not worse with the Bridgestones!! documented
