Valentino Rossi he closed the collective MotoGP test in Barcelona with the 11th fastest time, after covering 56 laps. The rider from Pesaro tried different configurations on his bike to try to find the ideal set-up and then tried again the aluminum swingarm tested for the first time at Mugello and then here in Friday's free practice.
Rossi said: “We didn't have many new things so we concentrated on set-up tests trying many different configurations. In the end we had confirmation that the set-up we had identified for the race was precisely the best for this track. We tried the aluminum swingarm again, which could help us with regards to "grip" during acceleration, but here it triggers too much "chattering", unlike what happened in the tests at Mugello where it instead proved to be an advantage. It will therefore be interesting to try it again in Aragon next Wednesday."
