“It was a great duel, beautiful! I must say that I had felt such an emotion at Laguna Seca with Stoner but there it ended with 8 laps to go! I had a great race here and the overtaking wasn't bad there! Lorenzo was very strong and it was one of the toughest battles ever. Honestly, I've been trying to overtake for a lot of years, it's incredible to do it on the last lap.
It was a perfect weekend. We worked very well, to beat Lorenzo today we had to be at 100%. It was one of the three best victories of my career.”

Jorge Lorenzo – Yamaha – 2rd place
“It was a fun race for the public and I was the protagonist. In the end I didn't close the door properly and Valentino (Rossi, ed.) passed me. I didn't think he was going to try to pass me there and I didn't finish well. He was better and more intelligent, I didn't think he would try there. We are three drivers on equal points and therefore it is also nice for the public. Today Rossi was better than me. It will be very complicated to win the world championship."

Casey Stoner – Ducati – 3nd place
“It was a difficult weekend for me. Until Saturday afternoon I was physically fine. Then already in qualifying and then in the warm up I was very tired. Even just finishing the race was lucky, getting on the podium I thought was impossible. Then I also had difficulty fixing the bike. If I had been 100% physically perhaps I could have fought with Jorge (Lorenzo, ed.) and Valentino (Rossi, ed.). I hope I can get the tests done.”
