MotoGP Barcelona: Marc Marquez, “We must do better”

In Italy the reigning world champion preferred to manage without taking risks, but in Barcelona things will have to go differently. Here the Spaniard took to the track a few weeks ago for a test session, and the data collected will certainly be useful for the race.

The driver from Cervera is one of the few who appreciates the changes to the circuit, which occurred after the tragic death of Luis Salom last year.

On this track the HRC rider won 2 times, once in 125 and once in MotoGP in 2014, and also reached the podium 4 other times.

In Italy we have managed the situation as much as possible, but we must do better. We need to be able to stay at a good level more consistently. The test we did here in Catalonia a few days ago went quite well. We did a lot of laps, improving the set-up of the bike during the day, so we will start from that on Friday. As for the changes made to the track, I think they are interesting and quite challenging but they need to be interpreted well. The speed and corners on the rest of the circuit are all similar, whereas in that sector it is now very different. But honestly, the layout is so unique that I like it! “
