MotoGP – Barcelona – Hector Barbera: “We still have to improve”
Hector Barbera's home race didn't go very well. The Team Aspar driver in fact closed the Catalunya GP in tenth position, a step forward compared to the last GPs but still not satisfactory for the Spanish driver. The word is up to him.
“This race was a little better than the last two and we started finding the right path forward. However, I'm not entirely happy, because we still have room for improvement and we have to work hard to get further ahead in each race. Today I was missing about half a second of pace. I didn't have a great start and tried to follow Hayden during the race. Decimo is not a bad result, but it leaves a bittersweet taste in the mouth, because I could have done even better. Our main problem is at the front, starting from the fifteenth lap the steering was blocked. It still went better than the tests but we have to work more on this. Most raced on the hard tyres, but I chose a soft front because I didn't feel comfortable with the hard version. Towards the end of the race I did two fast laps. We have taken another step forward compared to other races, but we still have to improve."
