Pecco Bagnaia was a guest on BSMT, Gianluca Gazzoli's podcast, and discussed a variety of topics. Among them was finding himself back alongside Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi's longtime rival.

Pecco, who is part of the VR46 Riders Academy, heard this and explained it, demonstrating that the fight between Rossi and Marquez is still current.

“I definitely carried with me what happened in 2015,” Bagnaia said. “However, it's not fair because, ultimately, I'm just another rider and I'm just doing my job. Maybe Marquez felt this way because I'm a VR46 Riders Academy rider. He's the one who argued and argued with Vale. Are you asking me if this issue will ever be resolved? Speaking about the support Ducati received during the 2025 season, he dispelled any doubts, clarifying that he was never boycotted: “I realized I was in difficulty because the bike was working differently than I expected. I made the mistake of thinking I was already at my best with the GP24, assuming the behavior would be identical. Instead, the bike had changed, and in trying to bring it back to the sensations of the previous version, I wasn't able to achieve what I wanted. Since 2025, I've learned to pay more attention and describe the problems I experience more precisely. Ducati has supported me at every stage: they accommodated every request, even the strangest ones. My mechanics deserve a statue for all the times they disassembled and reassembled the bike. The support I received was enormous. Hearing about alleged boycotts against me was hard.: even if they are just fantasies, the team is made up of people who can suffer from these insinuations.”
