Team Gresini emerges with "broken" bones (metaphorically speaking) from the Grand Prix of the Americas, the second stage of the 2014 world championship. In addition to Niccolò Antonelli, who fell during the Moto3 race, Alvaro Bautista and Scott also "tasted" the asphalt Redding, who fell during the MotoGP race. A weekend to forget also for the Spanish and the British. The word is up to them.

“We knew it wouldn't be an easy race: at the start I started quite well and found myself at the back of the group fighting for third place – said Alvaro Bautista – I managed to maintain a good pace and was able to stay with them , so much so that I even overtook some riders. Unfortunately I continued to have the same problems found in testing, with the bike struggling to close the corners: halfway through the race I lost grip on the front and was unable to avoid the crash. It was a very difficult weekend for us: in the race I could perhaps have obtained a top-six finish, but unfortunately this time too we didn't reach the finish line. Let's try to forget quickly: we will do a reset and start from scratch, with maximum concentration, for Argentina, where the priority will be to finish the match."

“In the race I felt comfortable for the first 7-8 laps, after which the front tire started to lose more and more grip and my lap times went up as a result – added Scott Redding – I tried to resist but I I risked losing the front several times and in the end I fell: nothing serious, just a small slip. At the end of the race we checked the front tire and noticed that the right side was completely ruined: we had already done many laps with this type of tire under test and we hadn't had any problems, so we'll have to check if there actually was a problem. For the rest the bike was fine, even if the fight with Hernandez, who overtook me every time on the straight, broke my rhythm, preventing me from trying to close the group of riders in front of me.”
