MotoGP Assen: Pedrosa will start 9th, "It was impossible to race normally today"

Gp Assen MotoGP Honda HRC Qualifying – Subpar session for Dani Pedrosa, the qualifying session for the Dutch Grand Prix, which ended with the 9th time.

The HRC driver never managed to be truly competitive throughout the session, finishing ninth.

The main problem for the Spaniard, as for all Hondas, was the lack of grip.

These are the words of Dani Pedrosa: “It was impossible to race normally today, as I couldn't get the tires up to temperature, especially on the rear and especially in the wet conditions. I didn't have any grip; the tires were too hard for me. We tried everything on the bike, everything on the tyres, everything on the track, but unfortunately there was nothing we could do. For tomorrow of course we have to adapt to the situation, which is not the best thing for me on this track, but I will try to concentrate on the race and do as much as possible."
