Excellent debut for the Tech3 team on the Rio Hondo circuit in Argentina. In fact, the two satellite Yamahas of Bradley Smith and Pol Espargarò finished 6th and 7th respectively, arriving ahead of the official M1s of Rossi and Lorenzo. The feeling is therefore positive even if there is still a lot of work to do especially if we want to try to fight for the podium in the race.

“I can be satisfied with this first day at the Argentina GP – Bradley Smith said – especially because they are the first Yamaha. The circuit is as beautiful as I imagined, my favorite part is in the last corner. It's like when we ride the Supermotard on Colin's ranch (Edwards ed.), it's incredible! Today's goal was to get to know the track and set the setup so I can consider myself satisfied. I'm still not convinced about the best tire choice, I'll decide tomorrow. Tomorrow we will try other setups but in any case I feel positive and ready to battle"

“Today went well and the impact with this track was ok – said Pol Espargarò – it's different from all the other tracks and that makes it fun. It's technical with long, fast and blind turns. My favorite part is the fourth sector where there are continuous changes in direction and also the last corner. At that point I'm going strong but I have to improve the first sector where I still lose time. We also have to work on the front setup, but the feeling is positive, especially because I went fast straight away."
