Having lost the second free practice session certainly did not help Valentino Rossi, who took to the track today with the new material tested on the 1000 at Mugello. The rider from Pesaro is therefore upset about the electricity blackout which canceled the second MotoGP test session in Aragon, so he has the say.

“Everyone was somewhat disadvantaged in losing time this afternoon, but we more so, because we need to better understand the different settings of the bike. Surely a single practice session is worse than two short ones, especially for working on the bike. We will understand this better tomorrow and we will continue with the aluminum frame. Our potential wasn't anything special this morning, but the feeling wasn't that bad. For me, the first impression was like at Mugello; we improved the bike on changing direction. There was a bit of understeer but up front it wasn't too bad. It seems like a small step, but we need to understand it more clearly tomorrow. We hope we can be closer, because the difference, especially compared to Dani (Pedrosa), remains enormous. However, I am not that far from Dovi and Simoncelli.”
