Jorge Lorenzo closed the first day of testing in Aragon with the third fastest time, where the fourteenth stage of the 2012 world championship will take place on Sunday. The Majorcan Yamaha rider worked with the team to find the best set-up of his YZR-M1 and in the end he said he was satisfied. The word is up to him.

“This morning we decided to stay in the pits to preserve the engine. This afternoon, however, with the track completely wet, we took to the track and the feeling was similar to that of Sunday's race. The track is very slippery, we did a lot of laps trying to find the rhythm, but we didn't try to do a fast lap. Ben (Spies) and Dani (Pedrosa) were very fast, but the important thing is that we have a good pace.”

...Jorge's calmness is incredible...it was enough to observe his gaze in the various slow motions on TV to see him impassive, even in adverse conditions...very good...a bit like Rainey was, for those who remember him, of course... this year he has been very lucky but, in my humble opinion, he won't steal anything...luck always has a huge impact on the outcome of the various championships, there's no point in denying it...think if he hadn't missed the 2011 races due to injury...and think if Casey had always been in the game this year….as you can see, Lady Luck gives and takes away in equal measure….look at Vale…
