Andrea Dovizioso MotoGP 2015 Ducati – Andrea Dovizioso, after very difficult qualifying (starting from the fourth row), managed to reach a fifth place finish in the Aragon race. However, the Ducati rider from Forlì is not satisfied, given that he was never fast all weekend.

“This weekend I have never been fast, I was slow in the middle of the corner when cornering, but what bothered me the most is the braking, since I can't take advantage of my main characteristic. At the end of the race I was fighting with Aleix Espargarò and Crutchlow and fortunately I managed to put a bit of a gap."

You said that braking isn't the strong point of this bike, but in theory it wasn't even at the beginning of the year, when you were going strong, how do you explain that?

“At the beginning of the year we were happy to have solved the main problem of the old bike, which didn't "turn". Probably also our opponents were less strong than now and therefore this problem was not amplified. However, I have always had a riding style that favors heavy braking, even when I was riding other bikes."

But can't the rider's riding style be adapted to the bike?

“Absolutely yes, it would be wrong to say otherwise, but basically the bike must follow the rider. Then you can adapt, but mainly the driver tries to exploit his strong points."

The tires will be changed next year, how important will tomorrow's test be in this regard?

“It will be fundamental, because the Michelins have different characteristics from the Bridgestones and to develop the new bike we need indications in this sense.”
