MotoGP Yamaha Angel Nieto Aspar – After the news a few days ago, of the decision by Team Tech3 not to renew the contract with Yamaha for the supply of the bikes at the end of 2018, two teams seem to have stepped forward.

We are talking about the Angel Nieto (ex Aspar) and Avintia team. Both teams will contest the 2018 season on Ducati, but things could change from next year. This is what was reported by the Spanish website AS.com which, after speaking with Fonsi Nieto, former rider and current coach for the Ducati Pramac team, says the negotiation between the Di Martinez team and the house of the three tuning forks is almost complete. However, the negotiations also seem to include the Avintia team, which is also interested in the M1.

In addition to the two teams, there could also be a third wheel. The Marc VDS team seems to be interested in becoming a satellite team of the Iwata company. In recent years, Michael Bartholemy's voice, the Belgian team has often complained about the relationship with Honda (current supplier), so a possible agreement with Yamaha may not be so unlikely.

At the moment therefore the possibility of seeing a VR46 branded team with Yamaha from next year is out of the question. Not only for the words of Valentino Rossi's collaborators, who speak of the desire to found a team only after retirement, but also for the agreements between the team and Dorna which will expire in 2021 and, until then, it will be impossible for anyone to bring a new team on the starting grid, unless an agreement is reached with a team already present (as done by Aprilia).
