Andrea Dovizioso MotoGP 2016 Brno Team Ducati – Andrea Dovizioso, having overcome the disappointment of the failed victory in Austria (which went to his team-mate Andrea Iannone), returned to speak on the eve of the first day of testing for the Czech Republic Grand Prix. Here's what "Dovi" said.

“After an amazing weekend like the one in Austria, we arrive energized and we can do well here in Brno too. Analyzing the last three races, we played for the victory in all the conditions we encountered.”

On Sunday we saw you very disappointed after the race, in what spirit are you returning to the saddle?

“There was immediate disappointment, races depend on many factors and in that case the tire made the difference. You're disappointed when you think you can play it and for some reason you can't. After the initial disappointment, analyzing everything carefully, I understood how well we are doing and how well we are working. We are aware that we are still missing something, but I am also confident for Brno."

Did the choice of tire make the difference?

“It wasn't just a question of tyres, Andrea (Iannone, ed.) managed the race very well and the victory wasn't a given.”

Do your choice and that of Iannone reflect your characters a bit?

“It could well be, but most of the riders chose the hard tyre, it was a gamble, but a calculated one, in the end it was the right choice, they were good.”

In your opinion, what are the critical points on this track for Ducati?

“This is a track where the bike has to "turn" a lot and in my opinion that's not our strong point. However, we have other positive points and I think we could do well here as well as at Motegi or other tracks. Now it's not important to think too far ahead, regardless of the track we have to work to improve also with a view to 2017."
