Andrea Dovizioso's pre-season was very positive. The Team Honda Repsol rider was in fact constantly in the top positions and unlike his teammate Dani Pedrosa he immediately adapted to the Honda RC212V 2010 Factory. Pedrosa, on the other hand, is struggling much more than expected and with just 10 days to go until the first race, the Spanish rider's situation is truly difficult, at times inexplicable. Here's what team-mate Andrea Dovizioso thinks about it.

“It is incomprehensible to understand what is happening to Pedrosa. Outside I can't have an idea of what is happening – said Dovizioso as reported by “Motociclismo.es” – It's really very strange, especially for me who really appreciate Pedrosa as a rider. The bike has improved, but it seems like it has some features that don't suit it. It is still important to be ahead of Pedrosa, because even though we worked well last year, despite a very difficult year, we confirmed that we are going fast. And if you go fast the Honda gives you everything you ask for. Last year in Brno it was decided that we would race with the Öhlins and we chose to start as early as possible because we knew we had work to do. I had Pedrosa's problems last year, but now with more experience we are working better. They (Pedrosa's team) decided to continue with Showa and now they have to do the job. Öhlins and Showa have positive and negative characteristics. With Showa there was no bouncing, but there were other disadvantages. But he was fine and even won races due to his driving style. Öhlins has different characteristics, such as more "grip", but he jumps more. It is possible to improve by adjusting the "set up" but other things can also be improved. In the end, for me, Öhlins has more advantages than disadvantages.”
