Montmeló is one of Andrea Dovizioso's favorite tracks. The Ducati rider loves this very particular track, with numerous fast corners and a long straight. Last year with Ducati he finished the race in seventh position, but in 2012 he climbed to the third step of the podium, when he was riding the Yamaha of Team Tech 3. He has the say.

“I hope to do well at Montmeló with my Desmosedici GP14: it is a very particular track, with numerous fast corners and a long straight. Last year unfortunately I didn't go very well, ninth on the grid and seventh in the race, but this still remains one of my favorite tracks. The Desmosedici has improved compared to last year, and we must always try to give our best.”

Well... let's say that with the new regulation Ducati seems to be doing better...

But the story hasn't changed compared to last year... ;)

I would like to see a race with the same tires between Iannone and Dovizioso, so much for that. For now Iannone has been acclaimed without however having achieved success in the race, just look at Dovi's points and those of Iannone, for me it is clear that Dovizioso remains stronger and more constant, and Iannone seems to have had some great races but he is often himself without concluding them, as instead happened at Mugello where his real value and the value of his tactical choices on the race strategy and the race tire to use were seen.

In my opinion, all those who praise him should analyze these results carefully to understand that Iannone, in my opinion, for now is not even stronger than Dovizioso, who is working on Rossi more on the race than on qualifying, realizing the long-term results much better. After all, he is the fifth behind the usual 4.

True...but I would be curious to know if they had a competitive bike from the first to the last lap, whether Iannone's aggressive riding would lead to results like Marquez and Dovizioso's more calm riding like Rossi....

Look Tony, Iannone is not riding aggressively like Marquez he is going beyond the limits of the bike and tires for 5 laps and then he crashes everything, he is doing races like Capiraossi, like Hopkins sometimes like Simoncelli so you will never win in MotoGP, not it pays to put the softer compound, it only serves to show off in the first laps and when you lay down the bluff works, you say well if he hadn't made a mistake who knows where he would have ended up, as happened with Stoner in the lead, but the points are won by finishing the races not by laying them out and the results are obtained at the end of the year by counting, and Iannone is nothing more than the young rampant who lies down most of the times and makes the impression of the one who is strong, but the world championship riders are those who when they know they can't do it, they still take home the points.

This is the reason why Stoner only won 2 world championships, and was fooled by Jorge Lorenzo in 2012. Stoner is the one who won all his world championships always with the superior bike and zero opponents in his garage on the other motorcycle. These are the conditions that someone like Iannone needs to win but he still has a long way to go to get to Stoner's level, summarized in short, Iannone will never win a club he is not a thoroughbred horse like Marquez, Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner and it's not even a Pedrosa, not even a Dovizioso for now. In my opinion he will reach Pedrosa's level at most by being optimistic, but it will already be nice if he wins one or two MotoGP races in his career due to some astral coincidence.

His opponents are too much, better than him, and they are on bikes that are too better than his, he is not at the level of the super champions who compete in the races up front and in my opinion he cannot get there in 2 or 3 years, he needs the superior bike and the others an inferior one otherwise he forgets that he can compete for victories and the world championship on a regular basis, but who gives him the winning bike if those who are better than him deserve it more?? Even a Dovizioso deserves an official more than him at this moment.
