MotoGP Andrea Dovizioso – After the Misano and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, which ended in third place, Andrea Dovizioso was a guest of the Gazzetta dello Sport, where he answered some questions from the fans.

Reaching the last step of the podium in the Misano race, the Forlì native was joined in the world championship standings by Marc Marquez, winner of the Romagna stage. Now the two are tied on points with only 5 races remaining, but DesmoDovi doesn't think about what to do in case of winning the title.

“I didn't think about it - said the #04 of Ducati - Already in Misano there were a lot of fans who told me that this year I have to win the world championship, but there are still many races to go. We are totally inside the championship and we are not thinking about the final details and strategies of the last race. We are fighting and this is beautiful, but there is still something to do.”

This year's championship is a "strange" one and it is impossible to know in advance which tracks will be where it is possible to do well. The next races will be: Aragon, Motegi, Philip Island, Malaysia and Valencia, but “Dovi” does not say too much about which tracks might be favorable to him.

“I don't know, this year the tires are king and you don't know until you put the wheels on the track. At many tracks where we have always struggled this year we are going strong, like Misano. I believe we can be competitive, but Marquez and Honda have shown how strong they are, but let's not forget Maverick and Yamaha, who can be as strong as us, hopefully not more."

IThe Forlivese then spoke about the relationship with the other riders and with Valentino Rossi

“I'm very calm and I'm not someone who looks for problems, in life or on the track. Unless something particular happens I try to maintain a good relationship with everyone. I have a good relationship with Marc, with Maverick and with Valentino and with many other riders. It is important to have a good relationship in life, be sporty and have respect. I don't have too much of a relationship with Valentino, not because there is something that doesn't work between us, but because he has become so important in the world that he has had to isolate himself from the world. He has made his group and this is the only way to live as he can live. People around you find it difficult to get close unless you are on his team or in his group. To get closer to his group you would have to “lick ass” a little, you would have to do things that he wouldn't even want. It's a shame because we have very similar aspects. We could do many things together, we could have a lot of fun, because I see a lot of passion in what he does, as well as many other aspects. He wants to have fun just like me.”

There was no shortage of questions about his teammate and whether he is better now with Lorenzo or before with Iannone.

“So far, with the way the season is going, there have been no problems with Jorge. He has his character and his defects but they don't affect me. I can do my job calmly and I am not influenced by his importance or his behavior. The years with Iannone were certainly not relaxing, Jorge was better.”

Always very sincere and clear in his statements, I really like this aspect of him as a man outside of competitions. Sincere and correct to the extreme.

    Great Dovizioso
    Great Lorenzo
    Great Ducati
